Budapest, Hungary – November 21, 2025 – Embraer reached a strategic milestone in the military aviation market by completing the delivery of two multi-mission C-390 Millennium aircraft ordered by the Hungarian Air Force.
The second aircraft was officially delivered this Friday (21) during a ceremony at the Kecskemét Air Base, attended by Hungary’s Minister of Defense, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, military officials, and executives from the Brazilian manufacturer.
Hungary becomes the first country in the world to receive all the C-390 aircraft it had ordered and is also the second NATO operator to integrate the model into its operations.
Since the entry into service of Hungary’s first C-390 in late 2024, the aircraft has achieved a completion rate above 99%, performing transport, medical evacuation, tactical operations, and humanitarian support missions.

During the event, the Minister of Defense highlighted the importance of the Brazilian cargo aircraft for modernizing Hungary’s air capabilities:
“This is an inspiring and highly satisfying moment. The Hungarian people become stronger with this transport capability that did not exist before in our Air Force.”
Bosco da Costa Júnior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, celebrated the milestone:
“This is a significant moment for Embraer. The second C-390 Millennium will further enhance the capabilities of the Hungarian Air Force, providing superior performance, operational flexibility, and lower lifecycle costs. We are committed to supporting all of Hungary’s current and future needs.”

The aircraft acquired by Hungary are also the first in the world to feature a modular roll-on/roll-off medical ICU, enhancing their versatility for both civil and military missions, including:
- air medical evacuation
- humanitarian operations
- search and rescue
- cargo and troop transport
- aerial drop
- in-flight refueling
- airborne operations
With the delivery complete, the country consolidates its position as one of the most advanced C-390 operators in Europe.
